Mailbox Monday-04/06/09

Besides going to Barnes & Noble and picking up a copy of Pride and Prejudice and Zombies by Jane Austen and Seth Grahame-Smith, there were a couple items in the mail. First, from LT Early Reviewers I got an audiobook of Ellen Hopkins' impulse. I just received the email at the beginning of the week, so I was very surprised to find it in my mailbox on Friday.

I also received a copy of Drawers and Booths by Ara 13 for review. I have been reading more and more about this book and its author and am very excited to get started. It is in my pile of review books. Hopefully I can get to it sooner than later. However, some of my other books are quite bulky.

Product Description
While a Marine Corps corporal acts as a liaison between an island nation and the U.S. Army, his story is hijacked by a displaced narrator seeking a suspected criminal. The disruption causes the characters to become aware of their role in a novel, even rebelling against the author's intent, in this layered, metafictional journey; poignant, hilarious, and utterly unique.
