Sunday Salon (10/11/09)

It has been quite a week. Three book reviews were posted.

Moving Day by Meg Cabot
School's Out-Forever by James Patterson
Thanksgiving at the Inn by Tim Whitney

Go and check them out and be sure to enter the giveaway for Moving Day, Meg Cabot's first book in her new series for young girls.

Challenge Update:

I have been doing pretty well on most of my challenges but failing miserably on others. For example, the Classics Challenge. I have only read two books for this one so far and it ends at the end of October. Need a couple short classics to finish in the next couple weeks. Ideas?

Here's how the others are going...

eBook Challenge (3/10)

Serial Readers Challenge (1 series completed)

WWII Challenge (5 books read)

A to Z Challenge (18/26)

RIP IV Challenge (5 books read)

Everything Austen Challenge (5/6)

How are you all doing on your challenges?

One more thing! A quick thank you to Heather of Gofita's Pages. She kindly awarded me the Let's Be Friends Award. Sorry it took me so long to send along my thanks.

Blogs that receive the Let’s Be Friends Award are exceedingly charming. These kind bloggers aim to find and be friends. They are not interested in self-aggrandizement. Our hope is that when the ribbons of these prizes are cut, even more friendships are propagated. Please give more attention to these writers. Deliver this award to eight bloggers.

I pass this on to all of my new Followers. I have noticed my Followers growing lately and makes me very happy to see that there are new people reading my blog. Thank you to everyone who has recently found me. When my Followers reach 100, I think I will have to have a big party- lots of great book giveaways!

  1. My reading got sidetracked by my knitting this week but I am not currently doing any challenges so it is only my personal TBR and the library due dates looking over my shoulder.

  2. It sounds like a great week. I need to organise my challenges, tend to neglect to update them. My Salon is here: http://rundpinne.blogspot.com/2009/10/sunday-salon_11.html

  3. LOL--I've only read 3 classics so I'm not help. :-/

Tom Sawyer is fairly short and enjoyable. I'm reading Rebecca right now and it's a tad long (400 pages) but really fast-paced.

Good luck, Mari. Good news is you're kicking butt on the 100 Mile Fitness Challenge (which isn't a competition, but still!). :)
