It's Tuesday! Time for a tease.

Finally I get the chance to open up this book and start reading.

If you remember, Jason Pratt stopped by last month for a guest post. I was supposed to have a review of the book the following week but unforeseen circumstances had kept the book out of my hands. Jason was kind enough to send me a signed copy which I now have the pleasure to read.

Here is a quick glimpse inside:

"I remember. I have failed in so many things, and most of my people do not know- or do not remember." page 12, Cry of Justice by Jason Pratt.

Grab your current read.
Let the book fall open to a random page.
Share with us two (2) “teaser” sentences from that page, somewhere between lines 7 and 12.

You also need to share the title of the book that you’re getting your “teaser” from … that way people can have some great book recommendations if they like the teaser you’ve given!
Please avoid spoilers!

  4. Erika,

    ohhh, there are people who remember. And quite virulently so, too (as will be revealed later.) Which she's well aware of. (The character speaking in the quote is a woman.)

    But many of her own people consider stories about her to be negative propaganda spun by enemies; and are otherwise disinclined to think of her as being anything other than a paragon of virtue (for various reasons which will also be revealed later.) And as noted nearby in the text, even this woman thinks that this might be for the best at the present time. (Leading another character in a later book to snappishly quip about how convenient it was that she waited until after her death or disappearance or whatever, to have this material released.)

    The truth, as is often true, is messy. {s} And not very convenient for either her supporters or for her enemies. But it makes for great drama. Or I hope so anyway. {lol!}
