Happy Cinco de Mayo!
In honor of the day, I felt the need for the drink we always celebrated with in Austin. Happy Hour's and Cinco de Mayo's were always spent at Trudy's drinking a Mexican Martini. I have been missing those nights since moving back to California. The hubby and I decided to make our own and luckily found a recipe on Food.com that comes pretty darn close to the original. I made sure to Pin It so I could find it easily the next time I feel like having one.
If you haven't had one of these before- you are missing out. Go make one now! :) Be sure to add some pimento stuffed olives and some salt on the rim!Enjoy!_________________________________________

That looks really yummy! I'm planning on a special drink for the Pin It challenge, too.
ReplyDeleteSounds delicious, and definitely perfect for Cinco de Mayo! We had coconut martinis this past weekend on . . . Seis de Mayo. Not the same, haha, but we tried!
ReplyDeleteOoooh! I love the idea of sprite and orange juice with the tequila. I live in a dry county, though, and am generally too lazy to drive to the next county to buy liquor. So...wine for me (ok, guess we're semi-dry).
ReplyDeleteI'm glad this satisfied your Trudy's craving! Next time I'm in Austin I'll need to check it out.
This sounds amazing. I love sour drinks so I'll have to try this one!
