One of my New Year resolutions for this year is to finish all my WIPs before starting anything new.
I know!
There are so many patterns, old and new, I want to start. Plus, I want to use my new toys, too. Of course, I have no need right now for winding balls so they will have to wait.
So, how many wips do I have? 5.
1 blanket
1 hat
1 pair of gloves
1 pair of ankle socks
1 scarf
That blanket will be the death of me. Death by boredom. :)
I have 10 on Ravelry, not including hibernating projects. You're doing better than me,
ReplyDeleteSounds like a good resolution to me! I've got two scarves on the needles that I need to finish.
ReplyDeleteIs this the log cabin blanket? Just asking... :P
ReplyDeleteYou may just have to suck up the boredom, and then never do anything like it again. Good luck!
Yikes. Blankets are huge projects. You might want to give yourself a special dispensation so you don't end up working on the blanket exclusively. For the sake of your sanity and your hands and wrists. Maybe work on it while finishing the other WIPs and then start other projects that you're not allowed to finish until you've worked on the blanket.
ReplyDeleteGood luck!
I agree with Jenn... work on the blanket for a certin time frame (20-30 minutes maybe) and then work on one of the other WIP's. When they are done you can start a new project as long as you still do the allotted time on the blanket first.
ReplyDeleteIt is the log cabin blanket! Ack.
ReplyDeleteMy plan will be to knit a row a night. I just need to start that. :)
Make a deal with yourself that you work x amount on the blanket and then work on one of the smaller UFOs. Or do x amount on the blanket each day. It will eventually get done. And you'll have happy little FO moments while you're waiting.
