WWII Challenge Completed

This was a great challenge. Thanks Serena and Anna for hosting! This challenge came right at the perfect time. I was very interested in reading books set during WWII this spring and got through 5 books in a very short amount of time. I thought I would get through more before the end of the year but my reading took a turn to YA for a bit.

I am really glad I participated in this challenge and am interested to see what the War Through the Generations Challenge will bring in 2010.

Books read for the challenge:

1. Sarah's Key by Tatiana de Rosnay
2. The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier & Clay by Michael Chabon

3. The Reader by Bernard Schlink
4. An Obsolete Honor by Helena P. Schrader
5. Hotel on the Corner of Bitter and Sweet by Jamie Ford

  1. I read Hotel at the Corner of Bitter and Sweet recently. I have seen some of the others. Sounds like a good challenge.

  2. Congrats on finishing the challenge. You read some great books!

  3. I enjoyed this challenge, finishing it in October. There is sure no shortage of books on the subject, are there? I am curious if they will host one in 2010.
OH, was going to mention I read Sarah's Key and Hotel on Corner of Bitter and Sweet. Both grabbed me from page 1!

  4. Juliann-It was a great challenge. :)

Kim-Congrats on finishing! Can't wait to see what they have planned for 2010. :)

  5. Cool challenge. I really want to read Kavalier and Clay!

  6. Sadako- I really enjoyed Kavalier and Clay. It took me a long time to finally get to it, but I was really glad I finally read it.

  7. Congrats on completing the challenge! We're so glad you joined us. We're working on getting everyone's reviews on the site so we can start sign ups for next year's challenge! Stay tuned for that info, plus end-of-challenge giveaway info.
