Well, here it is. My first failed challenge. I began the Classics Challenge for 2009 with high hopes and came to the end of the challenge with only two books read. I really enjoyed this challenge last year and hoped to finish as I did. Unfortunately, this was not my year for Classics.
Here is what I did read:
Here is what I did read:
Persuasion by Jane Austen
Northanger Abbey by Jane Austen
Congrats to all of you who finished and thanks to Trish for hosting. I had some good books on my reading list. I hope to get to them soon.

I wouldn't feel too bad for not being able to finish. I've accumulated a ton of unfinished challenges. Lol. I always tell myself that the important thing is that you did some great reading. I think that's what reaching challenges are all about. I absolutely loved "Persuasion." In fact, it's definitely one of my favorite Austen books.
ReplyDeleteI've got Persuasion, Mansfield Park, and Northanger Abbey on my shelf. I haven't read any Austen this year so I should at least pick one to read over the holiday. :)
ReplyDeleteI didn't complete this challenge either.
ReplyDeleteI loved Persuasion! It's my next Austen favourite besides P&P, that is. ;)
Persuasion is my favorite after P&P too. But then I also love Mansfield Park and Northanger Abbey. Enjoy them, Matt.
