New Read: The Lost Symbol by Dan Brown

One new book this week.

That's it!

And, it is the only book I have gotten in the last few weeks. Crazy, huh? I know there should be some on the way to me... I think. I will let you know next week.

Anyway, Friday night I went to Border's for a look around and somehow came home with The Lost Symbol by Dan Brown. I blame it on the 40% OFF sticker and the two appletinis I had at happy hour. Whatever made me buy it, I am glad I did. So far it is quite enjoyable, entertaining and hard to put down. Great literature? No, of course not. I read Jane Austen for that. :)

Will you be reading Dan Brown's newest?

Mailbox Monday is hosted by Marcia of The Printed Page

  1. I enjoyed The Da Vinci Code, but I'm not sure I enjoyed it enough to read another of Brown's books. We'll see, though. Looking forward to your review.

  2. I've seen several positive comments about this book in the past few days. Hope you enjoy it, my husband is looking forward to reading it.

  3. Mari - I really enjoyed The DaVinci Code, and have this one on my wishlist. . . so hope to get it soon and fully expect to enjoy it. :) Hope you love it!!

  4. Those 40% Off stickers are TERRIBLE!!! ;)
This book happens to be sitting on my nightstand forlornly waiting for me to find a moment to actually read it.

  5. Oh gosh, I get to be the voice of dissention here. I think you know I loathed The DaVinci Code. It was one of the very few books I gave up on, or rather, skipped sections so I could finally get to the end. So on the basis of that, I won't be reading this one, 40% or no. Like I always say though, Dan Brown cares about my opinion all the way to the bank!

Glad you enjoyed it! That's all that counts.

  6. My better half loved the Da Vinci Code. Can't wait to see what he thinks of this new book.

  7. I'll read it...just haven't decided when. I already have a lot of books on my plate. I probably won't get to this one until it's in paperback, and even then it's a toss up as to whether I buy it or borrow it and how soon I do either.

  8. Can't wait to read your review. I'll buy it when it's out in trade :)

  9. I really enjoyed the review but i am little disappointed....i want some thing new but there is nothing..

  10. Hire- this isn't a review. I haven't finished reading the book yet.

Black Sheep- :) I do know about your hatred for the Da Vinci Code. Hehe. We can't like all the same books!

Diane, Okie, Book Bird Dog, etc.- Sorry, that seems rude. I did email almost everyone though. :)
Anyway. I am about half way through. Review probably next week.

  11. Great literature.... I love to read and write both...

Thanks for taking the time to comment! :)
