Do you tend to mark your books as you read, or does the idea of
writing in books horrify you?
Have not written in a book since college.

How do you keep your place while reading a book? Bookmark? Dog-ears?
Laying the book flat open?

Fiction, Non-fiction, or both? Fiction!

Are you a person who tends to read to the end of chapters, or are you
able to put a book down at any point?
End of Chapters

If you come across an unfamiliar word, do you stop to look it up right away? Nope. I use context clues. :)

What are you currently reading? Devil Bones by Kathy Reichs

What is the last book you bought? Northanger Abbey by Jane Austen

Are you the type of person that only reads one book at a time or can
you read more than one at a time?
Many at one time

Do you have a favorite time of day and/or place to read?  In bed before falling asleep

Do you prefer series books or stand alone books? I love both
*Edited to make a little more readable. Didn't realize what a mess I had left it.

  1. What a dear you are to your books. I love that you treasure them.

  2. I think many of my answers will be the same when I get around to doing this!

  3. I use context to work out unfamiliar words as well, can't imagine breaking off reading to find out the 'proper' meaning of a word. That can wait! :)

  4. Bart- I know! Usually if I can't figure it out I will just ask my husband. He usually knows. :)

Stacy- I have a feeling a lot of us will have the same answers. :)

Beth- I love every book I own ad take very good care of them. I do love a well read book, though. Paperbacks especially. They get so soft and pliable.

  5. I had a horrible time writing in books in college! People probably thought I was crazy but it drove me nuts to write in my books...

  6. I like to read in bed, too, but I'm afraid that I read only a couple of pages before conking out. LOL

    Diary of an Eccentric

  7. Reading in bed seems to be something a lot of us do!

Thanks for taking the time to comment! :)
