I'm Pregnant

I'm pregnant! It is still a little hard to believe. My hubby and I have been married for 9 years and for most of those years we were pretty sure that we were not going to have kids. However, this past year we started thinking about it and this fall we decided to give it a try. Three months later and it took. We are very happy and excited by the news. There will be quite a change in our lives for sure but we are looking forward to it.

I had my first Dr appointment on Feb 1st and got to see the little one for the first time. Doc said all looked good and gave us the okay to share the news. Our families and friends were surprised but all very excited.

February has been a little difficult. I have had a cold that won't go away and have had some weeks of morning sickness, which was more all day sickness. It seems to have subsided now and the cold is still here but I think it is in retreat. I am starting to have a little more energy. Actually did laundry today and cleaned up a bit around the house. I had been slacking off a bit. I made it through an entire week of work.

Now I just need to get myself out of the house for some exercise. Yoga class calls, and I really need to get some walking in. The Olympics are helping to motivate me. They should, but all I want to do is stay home and watch. And today, I picked up one of my UfO's for the first time in a month. I am determined to make some progress on these Socktoberfest socks.

  3. Congratulations! My husband and I were married seven years before we had kids. We've enjoyed every minute of it....well, except for the teenage girl stuff, but you have a long time before you have to worry about that. Maybe they'll have a pill to keep sixteen year old girls from being crazy by the time yours is that age, ha, ha.
