It never gets old. Sunset over the Pacific in Marina, CA.
We had a beautiful, fun and relaxing three nights here over spring break. We went with friends-enjoyed the pool and beach. Went to the Monterey Bay Aquarium and walked the path to the wharf. Ready to go back.

Oops! I missed last week. I was happily child free enjoying some wine tasting in Napa with the hubby and friends. :)
A couple weeks ago I wandered the Embarcadero and made it into the lobby of the new Exploratorium in San Francisco. A very cool new place for the museum. Loved the shadows in this photo, the yellow of the awning and the silhouette of the little boy tinkering with something he made while inside. I need to go back with the little girl.

I love my bookshelves! They are a mess but full of really great books. Do you ever find yourself looking at your books and just remembering when you read certain ones? Lately, I have been thinking about bookshelves for the remodel. I would love to still have them out where I can stare at them.

I absolutely love this photo of the little girl at the San Francisco Zoo. My sister took it and I just think it is pretty amazing. The little girl's silhouette, the light at the end of the tunnel. Beautiful.
She took more great photos during her visit last weekend. Perhaps I will share another next week.

Sea Ranch, CA
July 2014
Every summer since 2000, the hubby's family has been going to Sea Ranch for a nice relaxing weekend on the coast. We stay in the condo once owned by the architect, Charles Moore, who designed the buildings here. They blend into the landscape. Clean lines, sun-washed wood sidings, eclectic interiors.
This family of architects love it and so do the non-architects. We look forward to this weekend every year.
