I am not a complete novice to this. I've had a livejournal account for a couple years but felt the need for a change. Something different. Something more focused.
It's after midnight and I can't sleep.
I tried reading (I just started The Friday Night Knitting Club). I finished up my stash shawl and realized it is not quite long enough but I have used up all the yarn I had for it so...it will have to do, I suppose. And now, I have started this. Hubby is out of town and my cat is snoring away on the couch, so this is about all I could think of doing to keep me entertained. I was going to wait until tomorrow afternoon but now is as good as time as ever. Well, not really, since I have to be at work at 7:30am.
Well, let's get on with it, shall we?
No picture of the mini shawl quite yet, but I will share my ribbed, Noro Kureyon hat I finished not too long ago. (isn't the little I-cord top knot the cutest? Pattern came in the mail with a magazine subscription request.) It was my first time using this yarn and I absolutely loved it. Can't wait to use it again. In fact, I really want to make some matching mittens. Unfortunately, I live in Texas. Winter has already made it's quick entrance and even faster exit, so there really is no rush.Well, I guess that does it for tonight. I will be back, just maybe not so late next time, but I will be back.
