All of the books I'm going to mention are Usborne books. Here goes:

Picture Books like The Butterfly, In the Pond, On the Moon, and Under the Sea - all of these are non-fiction titles. Also classic stories in picture book format including The Secret Garden, The Emperor's New Clothes, and The Gingerbread Man.

First Experiences books including: The New Baby, Going to the Hospital and Moving House.

Jobs People Do including: Fred the Firefighter and Vicky the Vet.

Easy Words to Read Phonics Books - fun books with flaps and hidden ducks to find.

Also, poetry books, textured books and board books. Books with preschool level crafts and books that teach alphabet and numbers.

OK, that's a long list so pop on over to my blog or website if you have questions, or contact me through GreatFunBooks.comAlison Kerrhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00732023012497108509noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6346831263230175202.post-7315227771224659972008-09-23T18:32:00.000-07:002008-09-23T18:32:00.000-07:00Hi there! I loved them so much I started selling them as well. Barefoot celebrates art and story in unique, high-quality books!

There are SO many that would fit the category you're looking for. Immediately I thought of The Gigantic Turnip, an old folk tale about teamwork, with a very predictable pattern. My almost-3-year-old loves it! And The Parrot Tico Tango is great, too -- I posted last week on my blog a review for the 5 Minutes for Books Kids' Picks carnival. www.barefootinhighheels.wordpress.com

You can check out my website at www.mybarefootbooks.com/LoriHachenski for the full catalog of Barefoot Books. I would LOVE to provide you with more recommendations, too! I could talk about this topic FOREVER! :)

Good luck --
LoriAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6346831263230175202.post-25712016984516219422008-09-23T09:55:00.000-07:002008-09-23T09:55:00.000-07:00Mari, if the link below works correctly, it should...Mari, if the link below works correctly, it should bring up my 'Kid Picks' - books that my 3.5 year old really, really enjoys:

http://blog.literarily.com/categories/Children's%20Lit.aspxAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6346831263230175202.post-75842700493868037862008-09-23T01:27:00.000-07:002008-09-23T01:27:00.000-07:00Hi Mari - I love all books by Shaun Tan.
