  1. Great pics...what an awesome summer so far!

We're heading to the Redwoods and Northern California in a few weeks with the plan to end with ~2 days in San Francisco. We're trying to decide what to do and see in the short time we'll be in the city. Definitely planning to see Golden Gate and spend some time on the beaches of the bay, probably eat on the Pier, Wharf or Chinatown but as far as other activities, we're still torn with some votes for Exploratorium, others for Disney museum, the Aquarium, Ghiradelli Square and others. What did your fam do?

(We will have my wife and I plus 3 teenage kids)

    1. I am so sorry for being so late in responding. Have not been at my computer much since posting this. Hope I did;t miss your trip!

Definitely stop for the views before crossing the GGB. It's beautiful. I still don't get tired of it. My favorite parts of SF are away from the crowds on Pier 39. Head southeast from there along the Embarcadero and the crowds thin out a bit. The Exploratorium is nice and further down is the Ferry building and its Marketplace which has some interesting little shops and yummy food. If you really want a nice long walk you can continue along there all the way to AT&T park. I used to live near Golden Gate Park so I love it there. The museums are great. I love the Japanese Tea Gardens. Entry is free the last hour of the day on certain days, but I don;t remember when. The walk to Ocean Beach is really nice or rent bikes. It is three miles from the museums. Enjoy!!!

    2. Sorry for the super delayed reply to this. We had a great time on our trip. We only had a day and half in SF but we had a lot of fun.

We have Disney buffs in the house so we spent half a day at the Disney Family Museum (which was pretty cool). We also went through Golden Gate Park and some sights and beaches on both sides of the bridge. We did dinner one night down at Pier 39 and wandered along the boardwalk just enjoying the craziness of the pier. It was great fun.

  2. It was fun seeing your NM trip on IG. What a neat place. I miss the CA Academy of Sciences. I follow them on IG and miss them each time.
