"Mailbox Monday is a gathering place for readers to share the books that came into their house last week and explore great book blogs. Warning: Mailbox Monday can lead to envy, toppling TBR piles and humongous wish lists. It was started by Marcia, previously of The Printed Page and is now a Blog Tour, hosted by a different book blog each month."

Hi Mari,
ReplyDeleteI hope that your sister has a lovely day, will you be getting to spend any time with her?
I am not sure that 'Beautiful Creatures' is a book for me, but is definitely a name that I shall be passing onto my niece, who loves that genre of film and book, so thanks for the recommendation.
Have a good week and thanks for hosting.
Yvonne
Unfortunately no. We live a few hours away from each other. ;)

My Mailbox Monday
I haven't read it either, have been on the fence about reading it. I'll look forward to your review and book club & movie thoughts!
ReplyDeleteI've heard a lot about that series...haven't read it yet. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to your sister! I have read the first two in the Beautiful Creatures series (I think there are 4 total) and I must admit that I wasn't thrilled...they were just ok for me...I haven't seen the movie yet. But I know that lots of people absolutely loved them...so I hope that you shall as well!
ReplyDeleteThat is too bad. Hopefully we won't be too disappointed with this selection. If nothing else, we will have fun going and seeing the movie. :)

Happy BD to your sister. Thanks again for hosting. I haven't read Beautiful Creatures and will be curious how your group responds.
ReplyDeleteHave a good week.
A very happy birthday to your sis!
ReplyDeleteI had wanted to read the book before seeing the film too (I have had the book for a couple of years), but it didn't happen. Then, I couldn't pass up the chance to see the movie at the discount theater so I went. I thought it was pretty good actually. Better than some people told me it was.
Have a great week!
