New Read: The Lost Symbol by Dan Brown

One new book this week.

That's it!

And, it is the only book I have gotten in the last few weeks. Crazy, huh? I know there should be some on the way to me... I think. I will let you know next week.

Anyway, Friday night I went to Border's for a look around and somehow came home with The Lost Symbol by Dan Brown. I blame it on the 40% OFF sticker and the two appletinis I had at happy hour. Whatever made me buy it, I am glad I did. So far it is quite enjoyable, entertaining and hard to put down. Great literature? No, of course not. I read Jane Austen for that. :)

Will you be reading Dan Brown's newest?

  1. I enjoyed The Da Vinci Code, but I'm not sure I enjoyed it enough to read another of Brown's books. We'll see, though. Looking forward to your review.

  4. Those 40% Off stickers are TERRIBLE!!! ;)
This book happens to be sitting on my nightstand forlornly waiting for me to find a moment to actually read it.

  5. Oh gosh, I get to be the voice of dissention here. I think you know I loathed The DaVinci Code. It was one of the very few books I gave up on, or rather, skipped sections so I could finally get to the end. So on the basis of that, I won't be reading this one, 40% or no. Like I always say though, Dan Brown cares about my opinion all the way to the bank!

Glad you enjoyed it! That's all that counts.

  7. I'll read it...just haven't decided when. I already have a lot of books on my plate. I probably won't get to this one until it's in paperback, and even then it's a toss up as to whether I buy it or borrow it and how soon I do either.

  10. Hire- this isn't a review. I haven't finished reading the book yet.

Black Sheep- :) I do know about your hatred for the Da Vinci Code. Hehe. We can't like all the same books!

Diane, Okie, Book Bird Dog, etc.- Sorry, that seems rude. I did email almost everyone though. :)
Anyway. I am about half way through. Review probably next week.
