Book Buying Ban lifted

Remember how I said that my husband was placing a book buying ban on me? Well, he just broke it for me. He found the next John Rain book at barnesandnoble.com at a bargain price and asked if I had any books I wanted to get so we could get free shipping. Don't have to ask me twice. So, books that will be on the way to me very soon are:

Artemis Fowl by Eoin Colfer (paperback)
The Arctic Incident by Eoin Colfer (paperback)
The Eternity Code by Eoin Colfer (hardcover)
The Opal Deception by Eoin Colfer (hardcover)
A Lion Among Men by Gregory Maguire (hardcover)

The hardcover books were all on sale for $4, including the Barry Eisler book for the hubby.

Pretty good, huh?

Bargain book buying, I guess, was not included in that ban. (I probably shouldn't mention the fact that I just bought some sock yarn yesterday.) :)

  1. Awesome. A book is a book whether it's bargain or not-that has to mean the ban is over.

I am staying far away from the yarn store. I was just going through my piles again the other day and trying to decide what I wanted to do with it.

  2. I agree with Dar. The ban has got to be over.

I'll be interested to hear what you think of the Eoin Colfer books. I read the first two and thought they were OK, and kids would probably really like them, but I can live without reading the others.

  3. I also lifted the ban on myself since I earned a free book at the book club of my local indie. Then Borders had this clearance on hardbacks. How can you resist such a bargain?

  4. I was thinking I shouldn't buy all four in case I didn't like it, but I just couldn't pass up the price.

Too hard to resist the bargains. :)
