Booking Through Thursday-12/11/08

1. Do you get to read as much as you WANT to read?
(I’m guessing #1 is an easy question for everyone?)

Of course not! There is way too much other stuff that needs to be done in a day. Work. Sleep. That is valuable reading time.

2. If you had (magically) more time to read–what would you read? Something educational? Classic? Comfort Reading? Escapism? Magazines?

Escapism! I love getting lost in a book that is the complete opposite of my life. It's why I love fantasy books so much.

  2. I would definitely love to have more time to read...unfortunately, if I had more hours in the day, they'd probably get sucked up by other stuff before I had a chance to pop open a book. :(

  3. I usually read two hours over breakfast every morning, taking my time and sitting at the sunniest spot at my neighborhood coffee shop. (It's San Francisco...everyone has their coffee at the cafes). Then I'll slip in some reading time when no students come for office hour. I'll read a bit more at home in the evening since I don't watch much TV. That said, I'm happy with the amount of time I have for reading, but I would like more time!

Vacation is great opportunity to catch up with the lost time. I can be completely oblivious of the happenings, shut off the cell phone, and read for hours on end. :)

As I have mentioned in my answer, sometimes I enjoy the company of characters more than real people! I enjoy getting lost in a good book than real life drama.
